A federal law called Title IX prohibits anyone at school from discriminating against a student on the basis of gender. Boys and girls must be treated the same in all areas.
In addition to Title IX protects a student from sexual harassment. No student, teacher, administrator or other school employee can make unwelcome sexual advances to a student. Students cannot be spoken to in a sexual manner at school or at a school-sponsored event
