Academies:
Performing Arts Academy
Students will have the same English, History teacher and chosen elective teacher that will permit the teachers to work together to develop related lessons and projects. Related field trips to various events to help support all aspects of performing arts. Students will learn job opportunities available in their area of interest and what colleges and universities are available to further their development in their art. The electives available are: Drama, Technical Arts, Dance, Media and Music. Available in 9th, 10th , 11th and 12th grade. Teachers will design standards-based curriculum to encourage and support students’ interest in the Performing Arts. Link
Technical Science Academy
Students will have the same English teacher and technology teacher that will permit the teachers to work together to develop related lessons and projects. Related field trips to various events to help support all aspects of technology. Students will learn job opportunities available in their area of interest and what colleges and universities are available to further their development in technology. (Available in 10th, 11th and 12th grade.) Link
Health Career Academy
Students will have the same English teacher and Science/health teacher that will permit the teachers to work together to develop related lessons and projects. Related field trips to various events to help support all aspects of health. Students will learn job opportunities available in their area of interest and what colleges and universities are available to further their development in health careers. (Available in 10th, 11th and 12th grade.) Link
**Students will be scheduled with designated teachers in English and at least one other core academic subject as well as the interest elective. Teachers will collaborate to develop related lesson and interdisciplinary projects.
