What's RIGHT about Canoga
B.A.I.T. ACADEMY TOURS MOORPARK Exotic Animal Teaching Zoo Photo Tour and Art Opening Combined On Thursday, October 30th, twenty-five students arrived at Moorpark College on a Perkins sponsored school bus. With cameras in hand, they toured the Exotic Animal Teaching Zoo.The zoo teaches students how to take care of the animals, and is open to all students who take five prerequisite classes. The fees are the same as all other LACC classes. The zoo is amazing and the photo walk was fun. If only someone could have gotten the lioness to come out of her cage and visit... the photos would have been even better! B.A.I.T. CSUN mentor presented a gallery talk at the opening of her new show on the same trip. Niku Kashef oversees the mentor program with California State University Northridge. She is a professor at the university and also a visual artist who shows in galleries. Students had the pleasure of a gallery talk at her most recent show, "Monsters in the Closet." They arrived at the opening and were filled with questions and impressed by her photographic installation pieces. What a great day!
