Achievements
 STEPHANIE CALIX RECEIVES MULTIPLE AWARDS
On Wednesday, May 27th Stephanie was honored by the San Fernando Valley Economic Alliance with the coveted Steve Allen Award. The award was named for long-time Valley resident and legendary entertainer Steve Allen. The purpose is to salute nationally recognized achievements in education and are presented annually by the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley.Stephanie was recognized for her video, "Your First Vote". The video was a part of the Time Warner/ CNN contest which had a grand prize of a trip to the Barack Obama Inauguration. Stephanie created a video of her trip and presented it to numerous venues, including the Canoga Park Historical Society and the LAUSD Board Members. We are proud of Stephanie and her achievements and look forward to many years of media/ or reporting after she graduates from University of CA San Diego. Stephanie has a bright future and we are happy to call her a Hunter! |
