What's RIGHT about Canoga
 BAIT LIGHTS UP CSUN
On Saturday, May 9th BAIT Academy took another trip to the Art Department at CSUN, where Professor Niku Kashef conducted a workshop on photographic studio lighting techniques. Students watched a slide show of professional portrait photographers and then began the process of creating their own images. We learned about the operation of a digital SLR camera and we practiced lighting techniques. It was a wonderful day.CSUN held their annual Art Career Day on Saturday. This was fortuitous because as our workshop ended, we were able to review the professional portfolio review process. Each year when graduating seniors have completed their portfolios and are about to go out into the job market, CSUN invites industry professionals to review and comment on their work. This gives the students’ professional feedback, industry contacts and practice presenting their work in the field. It was also an opportunity for our high school students to see the interaction between the next two steps they will be taking if they continue in the graphic design career track. |
