  INFOTECH WELCOMES BAIT
On Saturday, April 26th LAUSD held their annual Technology Showcase at the Los Angeles Convention Center. BAIT was there to share their achievements! Over seventy schools arrived at the LA Convention Center at 8:00 am on Saturday morning to exchange best practices and ideas. This is an annual event where demonstrations, student testimonials and kindred spirits converge to highlight what works throughout our district.LAUSD had experts on hand to support new and existing ideas and programs. BAIT students worked closely with Instructional Technology Area Facilitators to photograph the event. Other BAIT members consulted with the Los Angeles Virtual Academy director to plan a class next year which would allow students to take online college and AP classes which are not available at the school site. In the meantime, our table of students did demonstrations of Adobe Photoshop techniques for attendees. Mr. Monterosso and Ms.Tibbetts Olenick answered questions for perspective students and technology instructors as well as planning for articulations with the Media Arts Branch. Although due to budget cuts, there was no competition this year, (remember when we placed 1st last year!) it was a fruitful day and a great experience. Way to go BAIT Academy Team Members! |
