Canoga Senior - John Vindel
What are your plans after high school?
He said,” Getting a job, going to college, and supporting my mom at the same time.”
What is one of your favorite memories from your years here at Canoga?
“I remember freshmen year when some kid fell from reaching a quarter, *cough cough, Miklo.”
During your 1st year at Canoga did you feel welcome?
“Yes I felt very welcome.”
Who is your favorite Idol or favorite artist /actor/singer?
John’s favorite rapper is Dumbfoundead, an underground rapper from his hometown of Koreatown.
Is there a Specific teacher who inspired you to better yourself?
“Yes, Ms. Gregorian, because her remarks made me want to better myself physically and mentally.”
Are you looking forward to life after High School?
“Yes, even though I’m scared. But I’ve had my share of Canoga Park High even though I love it!”
Did you enjoy your years here at Canoga?
John says “Yes I did, because I felt safe, at home, and also because of friends like Annie Guzman.”
Are you involved in any activities, if so, which ones?
He is a part of the Yearbook committee and he is a part of the UCLA business program through Mrs. Starr.
What advice would you give to underclassmen?
“Pass your classes because if you don’t they will come back and bite you.”
Do you have a favorite quote?
“You win some you lose some but you live, you live to fight another day.” - John.
What is or was your favorite subject?
His favorite subject is math. He states, “I am very good at math.”
Are you planning to come back to visit Canoga?
“Yes to see my underclassmen friends graduate and punish those who don’t, ha ha.”
Is there anything specific you would like to change about Canoga?
“I would like Canoga to look like it did back in the day when it had the columns and other stuff.”
Are you participating in any senior class activities?
“All of them!”
Besides your friends, what would you miss most about Canoga?
“Most of the teachers and staff.” He says,” I’m going to cry.” “I’ve grown accustomed to them already.”
