What's RIGHT about Canoga
  CANOGA'S TEST SCORES ARE UP!
Canoga's API score went up 20 points for the 2009-2010 school year! The API is based on results of State Testing, and other factors such as graduation rate and attendance. "I am so proud to be a part of this staff and student body," said Principal Pam Hamashita. "Everyone worked hard and proved this is the place to be!" This very positive gain of 20 points makes Canoga 3rd in growth for the comprehensive high schools of Local Districts 1, and continues our upward trend. Over the last 10 years, Canoga's API has gone up 156 points! API (Academic Performance Index) measures the academic performance and growth of schools on a variety of academic measures. It is the cornerstone of California's Public Schools Accountability Act of 1999. Congratulations to the students and staff of Canoga. Keep up the GREAT work! |
