10th Grade B.A.I.T. Photography 1A

Location: Room 6 Teacher: During the semester, students will produce original digital photographs that emphasize the principles of photography.Composition, studio lighting and the exploration of various concepts will be the focus of each project. Students will learn to manipulate their images in Photoshop, learning to apply the tools that best suit their work. The course will focus on teaching students to make informed, aesthetic judgments about photographic works of art through class discussions and critiques. Students will practice their visual communication skills by producing photographs that express a theme or make a statement.The themes explored in photo projects will be linked to the student's history and English classes, giving the student a greater understanding of the subject. The Fall semester will focus on the power of persuasive photography in advertising, social documentary photography, and how photography played a part in war. Files for download:
