Teacher: INFORMATION PROCESSING COMPUTER CLASS COURSE SYLLABUS Dr. Dianne Bentley, Instructor Course Description The major emphasis of this course is to enable students to develop information processing skills and knowledge through class activities using computers for word and data processing applications. The class provides learning experiences in using computer programs to integrate various applications and includes further development of correct computer skills and terminology. The use of PowerPoint and Excel will also be employed to produce slide presentations and spreadsheet computations. Objective of the Course Define computer, business, and information processing terms Utilize a variety of software programs to manipulate, analyze, and produce data Use of correct keyboarding skills Operate and interact with a computer using word and data processing programs Merge two or more files or documents Enter ands revise text; create reports Use charts, graphs, and tables Record and store data to establish a database Software Available Office 2007, Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint |
