Course Description

Course will be instructed to the Los Angeles Unified School Student Learning standards. District Learning standards will enable students to develop an awareness of the way computers operate by utilizing a variety of software programs for word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.

Objective of the Course

To identify and demonstrate the proper use and care of equipment
Utilize a variety of software programs to manipulate, analyze, and produce
data
Define computer terms and identify computer-related items
Operate and interact with a computer, using commercially prepared word
processing and data processing program
Students will be able to use technical vocabulary, understand and interpret
graphs and tables, and use listening and reading skills in following
oral and written instructions
To operate effectively and interact with computers, using a variety of activities
and word processing software programs and use English skills in
editing input
Students will learn keyboarding, word processing and how to use methods of
problem solving
